Okara: A 70-year-old woman, identified as Amna Bibi Tortured by some influential persons in district Okara. According to details, a video emerged on social media in which some people saw torturing an old woman. Further investigation revealed that elderly Woman identified as Amna Bibi belongs to a village “Chak-12/1-R” In district Okara. Watch the video, below.
The viral video shows that several men holding a woman down on the ground and one of them is hitting her with a piece of leather or by a shoe. The woman, is screaming and asking them to stop torturing her, But the man never stops beating the elderly woman.
The video of the torture with Amna Bibi, went viral on social media and public started tagging the authorities to take action against these men involved in torturing old-woman.

According to further details of the incident, it took place on December 6, 2019, in the night at 10:00 PM. According to the subject of Amna Bibi’s application at Okara police station, one of the accused is identified as Muhammad Akram who entered her home in order to take revenge for a past rivalry.
Her Application in police station further revealed that her two sons were murdered by the relatives of accused Muhammad Akram in the past. The motive of Muhammad Akram for entering her home was to force her to sign a consent form for his relatives who are waiting for the death sentence for murdering the sons of Amna Bibi.
After the noise on social media, Okara police was forced to register a first investigation report (FIR) against Muhammad Akram and his companions for torturing Amna Bibi. See the copy of the FIR, below.
Official Twitter Page of Punjab Police also issued a statement regarding the sad incident. According to the official statement of Punjab Police, “a case has been open regarding the torture with the old-woman in Okara. Police are taking all the necessary steps and they will arrest the accused as soon as possible”.

Update: CM Buzdar takes notice of torture on woman in Okara
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar on Sunday took notice of torture on an elderly woman in Okara, ARY News reported.
The chief minister directed the regional police officer (RPO) of Sahiwal to submit a report in this regard. He also issued directives for the provision of justice to the victim woman saying the incident of torture is unacceptable.
