Lahore: Dar-ul-Amaan scandal or The scandal of Under-age girls’ Forced marriages in a state run shelter “Kashana” otherwise Dar-ul-Amaam, emerged when a video of ‘Superintendent of Kashana, Lahore’ Afshan Latif (افشاں لطیف) emerged on social media. In the viral video, she was seen telling that police is going to arrest her for raising her voice against the dirty games in Kashana Lahore (Kashana, otherwise Dar-ul-Aman, is a social welfare trust of the government of Punjab where they settle destitute girls, provide them shelter and food and education).
In the video, made by her mobile phone, Afshan Latif is requesting the public to raise their voices (on Dar-ul-Amaan scandal) against the forced marriages of under-age girls from “Kashana” Lahore, with high rank government officials and provincial minister. Afshan Latif told in her video statement that she raised the voice against the forced marriages of under-age girls (Destitute girls residing in Kashana, Lahore) with high-rank bureaucrats and provincial ministers for their pleasures. Taking revenge for his statements and raising voice against this dirty game, the police is trying to arrest her to shut her voice.
She said that police has already broken into the main door of Kashana, Lahore. But they are still trying to break the inner doors (leading to her office) in order to arrest her. Also, Watch Video scandal of Hareem Shah with MPA of PML-N.
In the second half of the video, Afshan Latif was seen standing outside the Kashana, Lahore, with dozens of orphans and requesting the public to raise their voice for her and against the marriages of under-age girls with high-rank bureaucrats and ministers. She also requested the public to take care of these orphan kids after her arrest.

A few months back, Afshan Latif (Superintendent of Kashana social welfare trust) revealed the scandal of Under-age girls’ Forced marriages inside Kashana social welfare trust with high rank government officials in order to please their desires. In a video released by Superintendent of Kashana, Lahore, she told that she was appointed as superintendent of Kashana social welfare trust on April 6, 2019.
She replaced the previous superintendent who was accused to bring strangers (men) inside the building of Kashana at late nights and was removed on March 30, 2019, for this practice. The whole staff was also changed at that time due to above mentioned illegal practice.
Afshan Latif revealed in her video statement that she has submitted a complaint to her department (Bait-ul-Maal) against the director-general of Kashana, Afshan Kiran Imtiaz. In her complaint, she told her department that Kiran Imtiaz is putting pressure on her to marry under-age destitute girls with high-rank bureaucrats, government officials and a provincial minister for their pleasure.
The ages of those destitute girls are between 15 years to 17 years and the purpose of their forced marriages was to provide pleasure to the favourite bureaucrats and a provincial minister.
Following her complaint, the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) launched an inquiry on August 5, 2019. CMIT suspended Afshan Latif from her post (Superintendent of Kashana, Lahore) in the very first phase of their inquiry. But the Cheif minister of Punjab, Usman Buzdar took notice of the issue personally and removed the director-general Afshan Kiran Imtiaz from her post.
Afshan Latif told in her video statement that During the inquiry, CMIT was continuously putting pressure on her in order to force her to step back from her complain and statements about the revelation of the scandal of Under-age girls’ Forced marriages in Kashana, Lahore.
Afshan Latif further added that she refused to step back from her complain. On doing so, The budget of Kashana, Lahore was ceased and destitute girls were left helpless without clothing, food and education. But they couldn’t break her.
Now, police are arresting her following the issue and to shut her voice against the dirty business going on inside Kashana, Lahore.

However, besides the claims of Afshan Latif, CMIT presented another prospective. A representative from the government of Punjab published a statement on Twitter in which he told that An Inquiry has been started following the scandal of Under-age girls’ Forced marriages in Kashana and all the culprits will be brought to justice and punishment will be given to them.
