Apple introduced new ‘preganant man’ or ‘pregnant person’ emoji: Apple users will be able to send new emojis to their friends, including a pregnant man and biting lips.

Emojis have become the new way of life in today’s technologically advanced world. However, they can sometimes express more than the intended emotions.

Pregnant Man Emoji:

This is especially true because the emojis ‘pregnant man‘ and ‘pregnant person,’ which are expected to make a dramatic entrance on Apple iPhones with the latest update iOS 15.4, have sparked criticism.

Apple’s emoji were issued on Thursday as part of the iOS 15.4 beta, which is a free system upgrade that iPhone users can opt to install.

The new pregnant emojis will come in five different skin tones. The users can hold finger on the icon until it shows the options for selecting different skin tones while sending an emoji.

Jane Solomon’s Statement:

When releasing the new emojis in September, Jane Solomon, Emojipedia’s senior emoji lexicographer, remarked that they “may be used for representation by trans men, non-binary people, or women with short hair-though, of course, use of these emojis is not limited to these groups.”

The new emojis might also be used as a “tongue-in-cheek manner to show a food baby, a very full stomach caused by eating a large meal,” according to Solomon.

Gender-inclusive alternatives to the prince and princess emojis, as well as 15 handshake skin tone variations, were also released with the pregnant man and pregnant person options, according to CNN.
