In Evil Dead, Ash Williams has been fighting monsters and the supernatural for over 40 years. He is now using his skills in Fortnite. Even though The Herald is not a real demon, the people on the island could use some help to stop her. That said, it’s not easy to find him on the island.
Because of his past, he likes to be alone and watch over his “fruit cellar.” Still, he won’t be hard to find for those who are brave enough to go exploring. But because he is so popular, players are not likely to find him alone.

A step-by-step guide to finding NPC Ash Williams in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4
1) The territory west of the Reality Tree
Players will have to land west of the Reality Tree to start looking for Ash Williams. Keep an eye on the road or clearing to find his house, The Knowby Cabin, a direct reference to the Evil Dead series.
Ash Williams is not as easy to find as other NPCs on the island. He is in a less obvious place. Even though most people would have left the dying and decaying reality biome, that’s where he lives.
2) Look among the trees for The Knowby Cabin.
Since his location is not marked on the map, people who want to find it must keep their eyes open. Going straight down the road after landing is the best way to find him. Don’t go off the path because this is the best way to get there.
Still, players must be aware of what’s happening around them. Since the area is full of big trees and mushrooms, opponents might hide there and wait for a chance to attack.
3) Go inside The Knowby Cabin and talk to Ash Williams.
Once you’ve found the house, walk up to it and go through the door. Ash Williams hangs out in front of his house most of the time.
When a player talks to him, they will get a random item. Aside from being kind, he also sells an epic Lever Action Shotgun for 250 gold bars. Since the area is full of jump scares, the item will come in handy when you’re up close to something.
Challenge for Fortnitemares 2022: Buy a shotgun from Ash Williams and use it to damage The Knowby Cabin.
Players need to buy the lever action shotgun from Ash Williams and do 50 damage to any living or undead creature in a circle around The Knowby Cabin. Players can also try to shoot Ash Williams, but it’s better to find jump scares or wildlife to shoot at.
Since NPCs tend to soak up bullets, fighting with a shotgun early in the game might not be the best idea. Most of the time, the NPC will win if you only have a few healing items and bullets. Players will get a total of 30,000 XP when they finish both challenges, regardless of their chosen path.
