Balochistan University Videos Scandal (Balochistan University harassment and blackmailing scandal) has shocked the people of Pakistan in the second week of October 2019. Balochistan University Videos Scandal initially emerged last month, when several students from UOB contacted Federal investigation Agency (FIA) Pakistan and complained about being harassed from University of Balochistan’s (UOB) management.
More than five thousand explicit videos were recorded in Balochistan University which later used to harass the female students. FIA’s initial inquiry revealed that these explicit videos of Balochistan University were recorded by hidden cameras (Bugging devices) installed in washrooms, smoking areas and many other parts of the university.

According to details: In September 2019, several female students from Quetta University of Balochistan made contact with FIA and complained that staff from University’s management is harassing and blackmailing them with their explicit videos. They revealed that staff members have their explicit videos which was recorded in Female hostels of the university without the awareness of female students.
Balochistan University Videos were recorded secretly by hidden cameras installed in washrooms, changing rooms, sitting areas and many other places of the female hostel of Balochistan University. (As per details, 40 per cent to 50 per cent female students of the university are residing in the female hostel because of transportation problems).
Following the complaints of female students, On October 14, 2019, FIA launched an investigation and recovered hundreds of explicit videos of “Balochistan University’s female students” from internal security and surveillance staff of the university. The investigation team of federal investigation agency has also recovered several explicit videos from Professor Dr Javed Iqbal, vice-chancellor (VC) of the University of Balochistan (UoB).
The issue of Balochistan University’s Videos shocked the public of Balochistan and parents. Because many parents in Balochistan still don’t allow girls to go into universities for higher study. And those who allowed their girls to reach up to university, have to face strong opposition with-in their families.
FIA requested more female students of UOB, to help in investigation of Balochistan University harassment and blackmailing scandal. After that, Many students came forward and told to FIA investigation team that many members of staff sexually harass them in return of benefits in exams. But those students who refuse to co-operate, get blackmailed by their explicit videos. Bearing the shame and fear of being lift off from the study, hundreds of female student kept silent on Harassment and blackmailing.
Sources told that FIA is still doing a complete inquiry into Balochistan University harassment and blackmailing scandal. On Monday, October 21, 2019, Professor Dr Javed Iqbal, vice-chancellor (VC) of the University of Balochistan (UoB) stepped down until FIA finalise its report. The issue has been raised in Balochistan Provincial assembly and also Cheif justice of Pakistan ordered to submit a brief report of the issue in Supreme court of Pakistan until October 28, 2019.

Beside this YouTube video above, several Facebook pages and Twitter users also posted this video claiming as “Balochistan University Video” and wrote that “a professor in Balochistan University harassing a female student in order to give her extra marks in the examination“. Watch the Tweet below.
However, digging into details, we found out that the posted video on social media with a title of “Balochistan University Video” is fake and doesn’t belong to Balochistan University. Balochistan University Harassment and blackmailing scandal Sparked Outrages in public all around Pakistan. Massive protests started in the Balochistan University and on social media. People are demanding fair inquiry and strict actions against those who were involved in the scandal.
Hundreds of female students from UOB are protesting against the university management since a week. Some females students raised the point that “Balochistan University Harassment and blackmailing scandal doesn’t formed with-in a day. It wss going on since years. Hundreds of students werr getting harrased but they were silent because of fear and shame”.
Students from several other universities also held protests in the support of female students of UOB. But some students revealed that Mafia (Managements of Universities) are threatening the students that “those students who will take part in the protest will be removed from University”.
