Deat stranding 2 is happening

So, like others who don’t want it, we were recently surprised to learn that Death Stranding is planning a sequel. Although Kojima Productions has not issued an official statement, actor Norman Reedus has claimed that the sequel is in the works.

In an interview with the Leo Edit portal, the person in charge of playing Sam Porter Bridges, the protagonist of this outstanding masterwork, said in the middle of the chat about his projects, “We have just started the continuation,” referring to Death Stranding.

For many, I’m sure this is fantastic news.

Death stranding part 2 is yet to come

However, it’s clear from his statements that the project is still in its early stages, so the first formal details will take a long time to emerge. At the very least, we know that a sequel to Death Stranding will be released sooner or later.

In the same interview, he was asked how he got the chance to work on this video game, and he admitted that it was Guillermo del Toro who urged him to do so, as well as making another comment on the sequel:

Guillermo del Toro, who gave me my first film, called me and said: “Hey, there’s a guy named Hideo Kojima, he’s going to call you, just say yes.” And I said, “What do you mean by just saying yes?”, to which he replied, “stop being an asshole and just say yes.” Then I was in San Diego and Hideo Kojima came with a large group of people, he is from Tokyo, and showed me that he was working on a game called Silent Hill. I was impressed with what he was teaching me, so I said “yes, let’s do it.” It’s not Ms. Pacman, it’s something more realistic, very futuristic, very complicated and beautiful, and I was completely impressed.

It took me two or three years to finish all the motion capture sessions. It takes a lot of work. And then the game came out and won all those prizes, it was huge, so we started with its second part.

All of the motion capture sessions took me two or three years to complete. It requires a significant amount of effort. The game then came out and won all of the prizes; it was a big success, so we moved on to the second half.

For those interested in diving into the world of Death Stranding, the basic edition is available on PS4 and PC, as well as the Director’s Cut edition on PS5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
