Brian Hoyer is an American football player. Axel Edward Brian Hoyer was born on October 13, 1985. He is a quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League(NFL). He is of German and American heritage (NFL).
Since he joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2009, he has started for eight teams, the second-most player in NFL history. Hoyer has also been a backup quarterback for the Patriots for six seasons that were not all in a row. He was a part of the team that won Super Bowl LIII.

What Happened to Brian Hoyer?
He got injured during the match and received immediate first aid at the medical camp.
Hoyer went to the sideline and the blue medical tent to be checked out. He was then led by members of the Patriots’ training staff into the locker room. He was officially ruled to have hurt his head, and his return to the game was ruled out soon after he went to the locker room.
Before he got hurt, Hoyer was 5 for six and had 37 yards. He ran for the first time since 2020 and only the third time since October 2017.
Hoyer was removed from the game and replaced by Bailey Zappe, the team’s only other quarterback.
This year, the Patriots picked Zappe in the fourth round after he set NCAA single-season records for passing yards (5,967) and touchdowns (62) for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers last year.
After Zappe came in, the Patriots ran the ball twice. On third-and-8 from the New England 10-yard line, Zappe avoided pressure and threw an incomplete pass to a wide-open Rhamondre Stevenson, which caused the Patriots to punt. Zappe completed three of his four passes on his second drive, but the Patriots still had to kick. Before halftime, when the Patriots were close to making a field goal, Gary stripped the ball from Zappe, giving it back to Green Bay.
