PM Imran Khan during his visit to the United States met more than 70 Global leaders since his arrival in New York. The main agenda of the visit of Imran Khan is to urge the global leaders to intervene in Kashmir issue which is at the peak of it’s history since August 5, 2019, when India revoked the article 35A and Article 370.
During all of his meeting with Global leaders, Khan was trying to tell the heads of states to put pressure on India to lift the curfew from Kashmir. It is almost 53 days now since the Indian army has put 8 million population of Jammu and Kashmir under siege. The humanitarian crisis is rising. Kashmiri people have been cut off from the rest of the world and no international media are humanitarian organizations are allowed to enter the valley.
In his every speech at sidelines meetings of UNGA, Imran Khan expressed his fear that there will be bloodshed in Kashmir when the Indian government will lift the curfew. Because 900,000 military troops have been deployed in the valley. And The people of Kashmir will react on the revocation of their rights. In these circumstances, there are very high risks of clashes between civilians and Army troops in Jammu and Kashmir.
