During today’s (May 17) Fortnite server outage: When will the servers reopen?

Fortnite outrage Chapter 3 Season 2 now has its fourth and final major update. It will be called v20.40, and it will mark the start of the end of the season. But, as always, there must be a downtime before an update can happen.

Official information from Epic Games says that the downtime in question will start on May 17 at 4:00 AM Eastern Time. Loopers are asked to log off 30 minutes before downtime so that they don’t lose their game progress or run into anything unexpected.
How long will today’s (May 17) Fortnite downtime last?

Since this is the last big update for the season, it may take a while for things to happen. If the rumors about an event in the game are true, Epic may run a few tests before turning the servers back on.

Based on these facts, the downtime and update process should take between two and five hours, but it could take even longer. But most people should be able to play the game by the time they start to wake up from a peaceful sleep.

Chapter 3 of Season 2 has new changes for the Fortnite 20.40 update.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 now has its fourth and final major update. It will be called v20.40, and it will mark the start of the end of the season. But, as always, there must be a downtime before an update can happen.

Even though there are a lot of rumors and guesses about what new content will be in the 20.40 update, only a few things are known for sure:

    1) Fall Guys x Fortnite

Even though the announcement wasn’t what most players were hoping for, there’s still hope for a crossover in the near future. With Epic Games and the Fall Guys working even more closely together, there is likely to be new content in the works if it isn’t already in the update.

    2)Round two of Doomsday

Since this is the season’s last big update, the Doomsday Device will probably be shown off in Loot Lake. Since there are tags in the game’s files for a Device-related event, it may be added after the update or in the next week. The Imagined Order is up to no good either way.

    3) V-Bucks for all platforms

Epic has announced a shared wallet for Fortnite. This is one of the best things to happen to the game since “Flipside” in December. When you buy V-Bucks on PlayStation, you can use them on other platforms, like Xbox, PC, the cloud, and Android.

This will make it easier for loopers to buy cosmetics and other services.

    4) Bug alert!

In the 20.40 update, it looks like Epic only fixed a small number of bugs. Here are the items:

While in a party with another player, you won’t get a toast message.

    Anvil Rocket Launcher UI missing.

If a player tries to join a Creative game that is already going on, they may be locked out until the round is over.
