The Ex-Caliber Rifle is one of Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 1’s most potent weapons. In the hands of experienced players, it can be used to break through shields, builds, and even the will to fight off their opponents.
Players are told to use this weapon to hit their opponents directly because of how it works. Those who finish this task will get 16,000 XP as a reward.

How to use the Ex-Caliber Rifle in Fortnite to get a direct hit
It’s best to talk about how to use the weapon before talking about where to find it on the island. The Ex-Caliber is unlike other guns that shoot bullets because it fires arrow-like projectiles. A sword of some energy is shot at the target and sticks to it.
When using this weapon, players must either hit an opponent standing still or guide the “round” directly to their target. The best way to do this would be to get as close as possible to the target or knock out the opponent with a different weapon and then shoot them a few times.
How to find an Ex-Caliber Rifle in Fortnite, step by step
1) Look for Oathbound Chests, or the NPC called Wild Card.
There are two ways to find an Ex-Caliber Rifle at the moment. The first thing you can do is look in Oathbound Chests for the weapon. There are three places within the POI where these Chests could appear.
Most games have at least two of them come out. But since the loot changes between the Ex-Caliber Rifle and the Shockwave Hammer, you may have to try a few things before you get it right. Players should get lucky on their first few tries if all goes well.
The second way to find an Ex-Caliber Rifle in Shattered Slabs and nearby is more likely to work. Instead of looking for Oathbound chests, players must find the NPC named Wild Card and talk to him or her.
The Ex-Caliber Rifle can be bought from this NPC for 250 gold bars. Even though he can spawn in three places on the island, most players will find him in Shattered Slabs. The NPC usually walks around the northern edge of the point of interest.
2) Look for players and use the weapon to hit them straight.
After getting the weapon, the last step of the challenge is to land direct hits on opponents who are using it. Since a Marksman Rifle does AOE damage, most players tend to shoot in the general direction of their opponents. Even if the “round” lands on or near the opponent, the explosion will still do some damage.
To finish this challenge, a player must land ten direct hits with the Ex-Caliber Rifle. Since there is no time limit on this challenge, players should try to finish it throughout a few games. Most of the time, it will be impossible to finish this in a single match.
