FAISALABAD: At least four persons including two attackers were killed in retaliation as a raid team of police forces allegedly came under attack in Faisalabad. Two of them (Ghulam Abbas and Umair), accused of raping and murdering a five-year-old boy, were also killed by Faisalabad Police.
Faisalabad police said that at least seven armed men opened fire on a raiding police team in a bid to release the accused persons in minor’s rape and murder case.
In retaliation, two attackers and two accused persons have been killed during the exchange of fire, whereas, five attackers managed to flee from the scene.
According to further details, A police encounter took place in the area of Police station Ghulam Muhammad Abad, near Dhera Saen Graveyard (تھانہ غلام محمد آباد کے علاقہ ڈھیرا سائیں قبرستان کے قریب).
According to police, two accused persons were taken into custody by Civil Line police on Tuesday over charges of raping and murdering a five-year-old boy in Rafiq Colony. The accused persons have been handed over the police on physical remand.
The civil line police were taking both (accused of raping and murdering the minor) to recover the Assassination tool and arrest the accomplices of the accused persons.
Meanwhile, Their seven friends who were also wanted in several robberies attempted to release them. Four including Ghulam Abbas and Umair has been killed in the exchange of fire with police. While five of the attackers have been escaped.

Police officials said that the department has commenced a search operation to arrest the attackers.
City Police Officer (CPO) Sohail Ahmad sent a report to Inspector General (IG) Punjab regarding the exchange of fire between the police team and alleged criminals accused in rape and murder of a five-year-old boy.
The other two attackers killed in the retaliation were identified as Umar and Shehbaz. These persons were also wanted in murder, attempted murder, dacoity and various other criminal cases.
Chief Police Officer (CPO) Sohail Ahmad has already formed the police teams for a search operations in order to arrest the remaining five attackers. Meanwhile, the corpses of four who were killed during the police encounter, have been sent for post mortem.
According to the CPO, the attack was lodged by seven armed men in order to release two of their accomplices allegedly involved in rape and murder case.
