People of Kashmir show joy after the speech of Imran Khan at United Nations General Assembly. “I felt that we are not alone. There is someone who cares for us, remember us and stands for us” A Kashmiri protestor expressed his feelings after the speech of Imran Khan at UNGA. In Soura, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, people of Soura took out a peaceful protest shortly after prime minister Imran Khan of Pakistan delivered a speech in the United Nations General Assembly highlighting Kashmir issue and 56 days long siege of the valley. As the Indian army keeps whole Jammu and Kashmir under curfew since August 5, when the Indian government revoked the article 35A and Article 370 and abrogated the autonomous status of Jammu and Kashmir.
The human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir have been raised after August 5 and the Indian government is gradually increasing the number of troops in the valley which was already the most militarized area in the world. Adding a 100 thousands more troops, Jammu and Kashmir are crawling with a total number of 900,000 Military troops of Indian Army.
Imran Khan Spoke for People of Soura, Srinagar and Whole Kashmir.
Prime Minister Imran Khan in his speech at United Nations General Assembly expressed his fear that there will be a blood bath in Indian occupied Kashmir once the curfew has been lifted. Because people of Indian occupied Kashmir, who are already fighting for their freedom for 70 years, will react more eagerly against the revocation of their special rights. In the presence of so large number of troops, masacar will erupt. People of Kashmir have already lost more than a hundred thousand lives by killing of Indian Army during the last 30 years.
Khan also showed his worry that if anything like Pulwama Incident happens again, both nuclear-armed countries might come face to face again similar to February 2019. Khan urged the United Nations to push on India for lifting this inhuman curfew from the people of Kashmir and take action before it is too late.

After the speech of Imran Khan, people of Soura, Srinagar and whole Kahsmir felt a breath of hope and welcomed his bold way to highlight the Kashmir issue in front of the world. Because the valley has been cut off from the outside world. All communication and internet has been blocked out and 8 million people are locked inside the valley. They don’t have any means to show their suffering to the world and call for help. Imran Khan has highlighted their miserable situation in the front of whole world.
