G.H.O.S.T. claims by Midas are based on Midas Chapter 3 of Season 2 of Fortnite’s The Daily Bugle

The war on the island in the early stages of Chapter 2 of Fortnite was not between The Seven and the Imagined Order. But rather between the two factions. Key players would be presented in subsequent seasons, but the factions wouldn’t be known for several more.

G.H.O.S.T. and S.H.A.D.O.W. were the two groups vying for control of the island at the time. Even though they are two very separate organizations, there are some parallels between them.

G.H.O.S.T., led by Midas, sought to release the Zero Point by destroying the loop. The Seven also have this as their ultimate objective. While the Imagined Order intended to break the cycle, the S.H.A.D.O.W. wanted to keep it running.

An even stronger link has emerged between The Seven and G.H.O.S.t, as a flag for the latter has been flown at the freshly liberated Daily Bugle building, as it appears to be a direct connection between the two.

In Fortnite’s The Daily Bugle, G.H.O.S.T. raises their flag:

The Daily Bugle was the first IO-controlled area that the Seven set out to liberate. It was up to the players to complete the challenges and aid The Seven in their fight against the IO guards.

Condo Canyon has been released and is now under control of The Seven. The Daily Bugle has raised a new flag following the triumph, however it is not a flag for The Seven.

G.H.O.S.T flag, which hasn’t been seen in a few seasons, appears instead. As of this writing, no one has been able to locate or contact the group, which was prominent in past seasons of Fortnite Chapter 2.

Since the last time we heard of them, it’s kind of strange to see a mention of them now. G.H.O.S.T. is long gone, as is their leader, Midas, however they share a common purpose with The Seven.

No Fortnite non-player character has yet appeared in The Daily Bugle, thus any of these characters could reappear. Boosting the flag is most likely to establish a link between the G.H.O.S.T. group and The Seven, who both share a shared purpose in raising awareness of their own organizations.
