Google has taken advantage of its Google I/O 2022 event not only to talk about software, but also about hardware. The protagonist in mobiles has been the expected Google Pixel 6a. But in Google they wanted to show us a small appetizer of what will be the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
We have already seen the design of these new devices. Which evolves slightly from the one already have the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. We also know that Google’s Tensor processing unit has been updated as well.
Aluminum comes into action
Google wanted to show us some preliminary images of what will be its new family of smartphones. In that design the lines that were already marked with the Pixel 6 / Pro are maintained. But the bar in which the cameras are integrated is now recycled Alu is used in the chassis as well as the body.
The arrangement of the cameras is different from In the Pixel 6/Pro. We saw these sensors in action, but there were no technical data regarding them. Aluminum was a better material to use because the glass in the previous generations was more prone to fracture.
In addition, Google said that the Google Tensor SoC in these devices will be a new generation, and it also highlighted that they will obviously contain Android 13.
