Although they are new to the TT, the French F1 and F2 National Sidecar Championships have been regular competitions for the pair, with multiple podium finishes. Incident happened less than a mile from start line between the bottom of Bray Hill and Quarter bridge. The race was red-flagged. Consequently, all plans for the rest of the day were cancelled. After the six-lap Superbike race, which was won by Peter Hickman, the second race of the day was the sidecar race. The 37.73-mile Mountain Course has not been used since the coronavirus pandemic forced two years of postponements.
