A close friend of prime minister Imran Khan of Pakistan, Jahangir Khan Tareen to donate one billion rupees for Prime minister’s Corona Relief Fund, several Senior Journalists of Pakistan media reported this morning.
According to details, Senior Journalist Chaudhry Ghulam Hussain revealed that Jahangir Tareen has announced to donate Rs one billion in PM’s Corona Relief Fund (A fund to support poor people of Pakistan during the harsh time of Coronavirus epidemic).
Following the revelation by Chaudhry Ghulam Hussain, another journalist and Media anchor from ‘Aap News’ Jameel Farooqui has also confirmed that Jahangir Tareen is going to donate Rs one billion in PM’s Corona Relief Fund.
Jameel Farooqui praised Jahangir Tareen for his donation and said it is the first drop of the rain during this war against Coronavirus. He urged other political leaders like Shahbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar and Asif Ali Zardari to donate in PM’s relief fund to help poor people of Pakistan.
Earlier today, Javed Afridi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi (A cricket franchise in Pakistan Super League), and Zalmi Foundation has also announced to donate Rs 10 million in the fund established by prime minister Imran Khan on March 30, 2019.
Javed Afridi made this announcement in a tweet on his official Twitter account soon after prime minister Imran Khan announced to establish Corona Relief Fund.
Pakistan Air Force’s Cheif Air Cheif Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan and speaker national assembly of Pakistan, Asad Qaiser, has also announced massive donations in the fund. Meanwhile, Pakistani people living overseas are also sending their donations in Corona Relief Fund.
Pakistani people are praising Jahangir Tareen for donating a huge amount. Meanwhile, Jahangir Khan Tareen has not issued an official statement about his donation yet.
Coronavirus is taking thousands of lives worldwide. But for the poor countries like Pakistan, Hunger is a bigger problem than global COVID-19 Pandemic. Millions of people are living below the poverty line and work on daily wages. Lockdowns due to Coronavirus are making their lives even harder.
The government alone is unable to help all these poor people and provide necessities of life to them. That is the reason why prime minister Imran Khan has established Corona Relief Fund and appealed the people to donate in it.
