Yesterday, on March 24, Lahore police has arrested Tahir Saeed, the husband of Famous dress designer Maria B, on the allegations of helping their servant escape, knowingly that he is a COVID-19 (Coronavirus) positive patient. An FIR has been launched against Tahir Saeed by Lahore police.
“Official version of Lahore Police and FIR : Instead of reporting to Health authorities they sent their servant, who was COVID-19 positive, to Vehari, Via Public BUS, putting a whole village and hundreds of passengers at risk.”
Maria B alleged Lahore Police for taking her husband forcefully after he tested positive for Coronavirus. Maria B put these allegations in a tweet, attached with a video message of Her. Her tweet reads ” Maria B husband test positive carona virus. Police forcely taken him away just like a raid.”
Lahore police on Tuesday dismissed allegations made by Pakistani designer Maria B and registered a case against her husband for sending an employee, who tested positive for the coronavirus, to his native village without informing authorities by bus.
Responding to the allegations of Maria B, Superintendent Police (SP) Atif Nazir, Lahore police said “Unfortunately there is another side of story, as narrated by official account of Lahore Police. Servant of famous dress designer was diagnosed positive for Coronavirus Pandemic. Instead of referring him to medical facility he was sent home. Rest we know better how it spread.”
Tahir Saeed was soon released after getting a bail from Lahore High court using his elite status and influence. After his release from Lahore police, the husband Tahir Saeed and Maria B came up with a video statement explaining and defending the mistake they have committed regarding Their servant. But social media got busted on their lame excuses and responded Tahir Saeed and Maria B with outrage.
A Twitter user ‘Aimal Khan Kakar’ wrote in a tweet responding Maria B and her husband “I’ve no sympathy for this heartless couple (MariaB & Tahir S). The only relieving thing to hear in thr disgusting response to allegations of sending corona-positive cook back home is that 5-6 departments are simultaneously working on war-footing to contain the spread of covid-19.”
Along with Aimal Khan, several Twitter users expressed their anger against Maria B and her husband Tahir Saeed for making this statement in which they were defending their mistake.
People called the couple “Liars” and said they should’ve inform the authorities regarding Their servant because he was COVID-19 positive.
