The 36-year-old man was arrested after police found him sleeping behind the wheel of a Shelby GT500. According to an arrest report obtained by USA Today. During Lynch’s arrest, police noted that his car was “in a state where it could not be driven.” On the driver’s side of the car, the front wheel and rim were missing, and the front tire on the passenger side was almost gone.

The police report says that when they found Lynch, they “noticed a strong smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle, his body, and his breath, as well as bloodshot, watery eyes.”
Even though police made these observations, Lynch “said he wasn’t drinking and he doesn’t do drugs,” the report says. According to the police report, the ex-NFL running back also said that “he stole the car.”
One of the officers involved in the arrest was wearing a body camera, and you can see some of what it caught below. Lynch can be heard on the video asking why he’s in trouble.
“What is going on?” Lynch wonders. “The car isn’t running, and it’s not on.”
Lynch was eventually taken out of the car and put under arrest by police.
Lynch is now being charged with driving under the influence, driving a car that isn’t registered, not staying in his lane, and not giving up.

Did Lynch get the bail?
Lynch’s bail was set at $3,381, and he will now go to court in December. Richard A. Schonfeld and David Z. Chesnoff, Lynch’s lawyers, say that their client shouldn’t have been charged with DUI.
According to the Seattle Times, the lawyers said, “Marshawn was not pulled over for DUI.” “Instead, the car was safely parked and not running. We are sure that when all the evidence is in, this won’t be a DUI in Nevada. Marshawn is grateful to everyone for caring about him and helping him.”
Lynch was arrested just one day after the Seahawks said he would be working for them as a special correspondent this season. In this role, he will be making “creative content for a variety of projects.”
