Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Smartphone User’s Review

Expansion

Three flagship smartphones have been launched under the Galaxy S22 series, which include Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 +, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Of these, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the bigger flagship in terms of both name and performance. With the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung has supported the S Pen for the first time. Support for S Pen is given in Galaxy S22 Ultra only. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra’s 112 GB RAM with 256 GB storage is priced at Rs 1,09,999 and 12 GB RAM with 512 GB storage is priced at Rs 1,18,999. With the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung has given a Snapdragon processor for the first time. In terms of features, the Galaxy S22 Ultra seems like a smartphone to meets all the requirements, but is it really the same? Let’s know in the review

Design

the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the first smartphone in the S-series to feature an S Pen.

Talking about the design, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is quite different than the S21 series. The camera bump on the back panel has been reduced to a great extent. Apart from this, premium material has been used in its body, which you will feel as soon as you take the phone in hand. The camera bump is good to see but there is also the fear of getting scratched. Samsung has not provided the cover and adapter in the box with the phone. At the bottom left is the S Pen holder and speaker grille with a Type-C port.

The power and volume buttons are on the right. The SIM card tray has also got a place at the bottom. Armor aluminum is protected on the body of the phone. Both the rear and front panels of the phone are made of glass and the frame is of metal.
The Gorilla Glass Victus+ has been given in the front. Both the S Pen and the phone are rated IP68 for water resistance. The phone can be purchased in Phantom White, Phantom Black, and Burgundy color. We had Phantom White color for review. Overall, you get an ultra-premium design with Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Display

The phone has a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Gorilla Glass Victus+ support. The brightness of the display is 1750 nits. Samsung has also provided Eye Comfort Shield with the phone which filters blue light. The refresh rate of the display is 120Hz which can be used even at 1Hz. HDR10+ is also supported with the display. The viewing angle of the display is excellent and the colors are punchy. The display is quite crisp, which you will enjoy in 3D gaming and video streaming. The display itself has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor which is fast. The always-on display feature is also available on the phone.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has four rear cameras, in which the primary lens is 108 megapixels ultra-wide, and has an aperture of f / 1.8. The second lens is 12 megapixels ultra-wide-angle, and the third lens is 10 megapixels telephoto with 3x optical zoom. The fourth lens is a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom. Space zoom is also available with the camera.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 40-megapixel front camera. Especially “Nightography” has been given with the camera. 20X zoom is also available for video recording. Apart from this, 100x zoom is also available with the camera. Group selfie is also available with the phone. A zoom mic is also available for video recording. With the phone, you can do Ultra HD recording at 60fps.

Samsung has claimed better Nightography with the new phone which is for low light. The camera has got 100X space zoom, which gives great results to a great extent, but if you want great pictures with zoom, then you will not have to go beyond 20X zoom.

Images and video quality up to 20X zoom are excellent. Quality is poor at higher zooms and it is also difficult to lock focus, although in the viewfinder there is an option to lock focus with yellow color.

The closeup shots of the Galaxy S21 Ultra are commendable. From the colors to the details, everything is superb. Macro and portrait photos are also good. The portrait mode of the rear and front cameras gives excellent results. Low light photos are also pretty good. With the Galaxy S21 Ultra, you can do 8K video recording at 24fps. With the front camera, you can shoot 4K videos at 60fps.

Performance

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the first phone in this series with which an S Pen is available which is in the body of the phone itself. The phone has Android 12-based One UI 4.1. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, up to 12 GB of RAM, and up to 1 TB of storage. With this, up to 8 GB of virtual RAM is also available. Like the fingerprint sensor, Face Unlock also works fast. Apart from writing notes, you can also use it as a remote for the camera with the S Pen that comes with the phone.

You can also change the camera modes and click pictures with the S Pen. The S Pen helps a lot with notes and browsing. The S22 Ultra manages games like Asphalt 9 with ease in high quality. There was no problem while gaming. There is no problem with multi-app switching, browsing, etc.

Battery Life:

Talking about the battery, the Galaxy S22 Ultra's battery supported us for two days during the review.

For connectivity, the phone has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS / A-GPS, NFC, and a Type-C port. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W charging. Talking about the battery, the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s battery supported us for two days during the review. The battery drains a little faster during gaming and camera use. You can watch HD videos for about 15 hours on this phone.

Samsung has said that 45W fast charging is supported with the phone, although you don’t get the adapter in the box. You get a Type-C to Type-C cable with the phone. During the review, we used a 67W charger to charge the phone, which did a full charge in about 55 minutes. It will also get 15W wireless charging and wireless PowerShare. The weight of the phone is 229 grams. The phone has dual sim support with one e-sim.

So overall, Galaxy S21 Ultra is a premium phone but in reality it is a smartphone to meet every need of users, because in this you get powerful battery, powerful S Pen, great build quality, strong camera with powerful camera. . If needed, you can also charge any wireless supported device from this phone. Powerful processor like Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is also available in the phone. At present, Galaxy S21 Ultra is the most powerful and powerful Android phone in the market.
