    Sen. Tim Kiane Suspended

Sen. Tim Kaine Suspended for 27 hours on 1-95. Senator Tim was among hundreds of unlucky travelers who were suspended by the winter storm. He started from Richmond at about 1 pm, on Monday.

Consequently, he was to reach Capitol after two hours. Unfortunately, he was caught up by the winter storm along with other motorists.

This two-hour commute turned into a 27-hour long and challenging ordeal.

    His Journey

He had to make this journey from Richmond to Capitol.

For pressing voting rights meeting with other lawmakers. It usually took him 2 hours.

But the intervention of snowstorm prolonged it to 27-hour hard and eventful journey.

“I started my normal 2-hour drive to DC at 1 PM yesterday. 19 hours later, I’m still not near the Capitol,”

The storm dumped more than a foot of snow on 50 miles of I-95. Shortage of food. Hours of waiting.

And the freezing temperature of I-95 made it a nightmarish experience for him.

I once did it on my bicycle, and it took me 13 hours. I’d gladly do the bike trip again, and I would never want to do this again,”

“And it was 26 hours, and the only thing I ate was one orange, and the only liquid I had was one 16-ounce Dr Pepper.”

    Helping other Drivers

Senator Tim Kaine suspended for 27 hours.

Later on, he said that his office has made contact with the State Department of transportation.

To help Virginians out of that trap.

Senator Tim Kiane And Robert Frost

Sen. Tim Kiane’s hard journey reminds us of Robert Frost. In his poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening recounts a similar situation. Though his journey was intoxicating. While senator’s journey was marked with hardships.

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods, fill up with snow.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

And miles to go before I sleep.
