Pakistani Actress, Model and dancer, Sohai Ali Abro is into deep criticism after her new photoshoot in which she was presenting a new style of Hijab. But social media turned over her and said that Sohai Ali Abro is insulting Hijab which is not acceptable in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The Hijab (veil) is a sacred duty for all Muslim women. Islam clearly orders to all Muslim women to take Hijab and cover their bodies. Any action insulting Islamic duties and component will always spark anger among billions of Muslim and specifically in Pakistani Muslims. The same mistake was committed by Sohai in recent days. She was wearing Hijab over her head but dressing below her neck was ultra-western and her belly was nude in the pictures.
The wave of criticism started when pictures from the latest photo shot of Sohai Ali became viral on social. A social media Blogger and motivational speaker Zohaib Khattak was the first to respond after Sohai Ali Abro insulted Hijab in her latest photoshoot. Quoting her pictures in So-called new Hijab fashion, Zohaib Khattak wrote in his Twitter account:
Sohai Ali Abro, A well known Pakistani actress, you might see it as just a photoshoot & indeed it is, but I see it as an insult & disgrace to our culture/morals. “Hijab” is a sign of modesty in our culture & I can’t appreciate such filth in the name of fashion.
Zohaib Khattak respond on the issue in his tweet.
His tweet became viral and most of Twitter user seems to agree with him on the issue. Kaif Muhammed, another Pakistani called Sohai Ali Abro as another version of Mia Khalifa (Lebanese British pornstar) who was working in porn movies in the same style (wearing a scarf on her head).
Rameez Hamza who is Pakistani national and an expat in the United Arab Emirates wrote:
In this country (Pakistan), people dare to make fun of Islam but nobody bothers them. Because Islam has vanished from our hearts. This photo shoot is a live example of this. Even nobody in the Europe makes fun of Islamic duties as she did.
Hundreds of other people published the her recent pictures in So-called Hijab Fashion and accused her of insulting Hijab.
Sohai Ali Abro made her debut in showbiz in 2012 as a Tv actress, model and a dancer. She was working in many famous Tv serials of Geo tv and Hum Tv. Some most famous Tv serial of Sohai Ali Abro were “Pyare Afzal, Tanhai, Khoya Khoya Chand, Saat Pardon Mein and Rishtay Kuch Adhooray Se. She worked in several Pakistani movies like Wrong No, Motorcycle Girl and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani.
