Toni Braxton announced her sister’s death through Instagram on Saturday. She added,
“It is with great sadness that we inform you of the demise of our sister, Traci.” “She was a bright light, a lovely daughter, an outstanding sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and a respected performer, to say the least,” says the obituary. “She will be sorely missed.”
Traci Braxton had given a birthday shoutout to her son’s 26th birthday a few weeks before his demise.
After receiving a statement from Traci Braxton’s husband, Kevin Surratt, People Magazine confirmed the news of her death.
“We have arrived to the point where we must inform the public that our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory after a year of discreetly undergoing a series of Esophageal cancer treatments,” Surratt stated.
Traci Braxton began her career as a singer with her sisters in the Braxtons. She later returned to music in 2013 and continues to work in the entertainment sector, releasing her solo album “Crash & Burn” in 2014.
