However, the acquisition of Bethesda by Microsoft’s Xbox in 2021 means that their future games will be exclusive to the platform. In addition, because of the ambitious scope of the game, the creators decided to limit its release to the next generation of consoles and the PC.

Redfall and Starfield, Xbox’s upcoming flagship titles, have been pushed back to 2023.

First post-acquisition showcase for Redfall was held at Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase last year. Open-world first-person shooter video game with single-player and co-op multiplayer modes is planned for the game.

Vampires are invading the island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, and players must choose one of four characters to battle them. Both games are expected to be included in Xbox Game Pass from the start, due to their publishing relationship with Xbox.
