Video shows NYC man died while attempting to avoid turnstile at subway. He broke his neck during the stunt. The man was recognized by the police as Christopher De La Cruz. He was 28 years old.
His tragic death happened at Forest Hills-71st Avenue Train Station in Queens. He tried to avoid turnstile. So that he could save nearly 2 dollars on the subway.
This is not the first time anything like this has happened.
People around the world, in attempt to evade being charged, do all kinds of things.
What happened?
Video shows NYC man who was wearing a backpack, tried many a time to jump over the turnstile.
At first, he failed. As he couldn’t jump high enough. However, he was skinny, and with little trick he could have gotten past the turnstile. Even without jumping.
Though he was not smart enough. He preferred jumping over the turnstile.
As the footage shows, he was not in complete possession of himself.
He was stumbling even before approaching the turnstile.
He tried to gain momentum. After multiple attempts, he succeeded in making a higher jump.
But unfortunately, he stumbled and fell on his neck. His weight cracked his neck.
And he was dead the other moment.

Police said that the victim was attempting to evade the fare.
Furthermore, he was declared dead at the scene.
