Reportedly, Popular religious scholar and speaker Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza has been arrested for inciting sectarianism and inciting people for murdering prominent religious scholars “Molana Ilyas Qadri and Alama Tahir ul Qadri”.
The name of Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza was nominated in a First Information Report (FIR) at a police station in District Jhelum, Punjab. A controversial video clip of Muhammad Ali Mirza became viral on social media which became the reason for his arrest.
Allegations mentioned in the FIR against him include “inciting people against religious scholars” and “inciting sectarianism”. The FIR also contains a note quoting the words he used in his controversial video “Inciting people of murdering religious scholars.”
The viral video clip sparked an argument on Social media. His supporters claim that this short clip is entirely removed from its actual context. They point out that he often uses extreme-sounding examples for the sake of argument.
However, the wording used in the video clip is enough to hold him responsible for inciting violence against the persons he mentioned in his video clip.
