During a press conference on November 22. Waukesha Police Chief Daniel Thompson said that 39-year-old Darrell Brooks Jr. was the person who did what was wrong. He said Brooks had been in a “domestic disturbance” not long before he is said to have driven into the path of the holiday parade. Initial reports said that there was more than one suspect. But Thompson said on Monday that Brooks was alone in the SUV and that the incident was not considered a terrorist act.

NBC News got a doorbell camera that showed Brooks “begging for help and telling a neighbor he was waiting for an Uber” before he was caught. The man didn’t know he was the parade suspect, so when Brooks told him he was homeless, he made a sandwich.

SUSPECT OF THE WAUKESHA PARADE CRASH

Darrell Brooks is suspected of driving into the Waukesha Christmas parade, killing six and wounding over 60.

Brooks represents himself in court. Defiant and outrageous behavior has regularly disrupted court proceedings.

Brooks ranted for 50 minutes Thursday morning about dismissing the lawsuit. He informed Judge Jennifer Dorow that he was denied a speedy trial and that the prosecution shouldn’t be in Waukesha County due to bias. Brooks called it “treason” for the judge not to follow her oath to protect his fundamental rights.

    He spoke without jurors.

Before that, Milwaukee Dancing Grannies member Laura Thein testified. The parade killed four dancers.

"I yelled. Which? I asked, What's he doing? I knew if he was going down the parade route center. He hurt several individuals quickly "Thein"
"So, were you told by police that they were dead?" Brooks questioned Thein.
"They weren't getting anywhere," Thein remarked. "Heart machines were starting the heart. Nothing worked."
