Where to find kinetic ores and how to use them for travel in Fortnite

The new way to quickly move around Fortnite is using Kinetic Ore. Even though we still don’t know much about this mysterious element, its kinetic properties are similar to Vibranium from Reality: 616. When the ore goes into the air, players standing on it will feel like they have a low gravity.

Epic Games wants players to use Kinetic Ore to go a certain distance to use this cool feature. After completing the challenge, the player will get 80,000 XP, equal to one level. Even though the challenge isn’t too hard, it will still take a while to finish.

A step-by-step guide on how to use Kinetic ore in Fortnite to move farther.

    1) Go to Shattered Slabs and take control of the area.

To start this challenge, you have to land in Shattered Slabs. Since it is ranked as the sixth sweatiest place in Season 1 of Chapter 4, players can expect much competition there. Also, since this POI will be the starting point for this challenge, there will be a lot more people taking part.

Still, an excellent way to secure the POI is to land on edge and work your way in, taking out one target at a time. Because of how the area is laid out, it will be easy to find natural cover and high ground. Use the land to your advantage in battle.

    2) Look on the ground for Kinetic Ore.

The next step is to look for Kinetic Ore once the area is safe. It’s easy to find because it’s purple and pretty big. Also, Shattered Slabs has the highest number of Kinetic Ore (17) on the island, so it will be almost impossible not to find a few of them.

They can be found on the ground and in the air by a crane in and around the POI. Some are even on the edges of the point of interest. Also, you can find a single piece of Kinetic Ore at a place called Rocky Docks. It is way west of the Shattered Slabs.

    3) Hit Kinetic Ore and aim it in the direction you want it to go.

When ready, please walk up to Kinetic Ore and use a Harvesting Tool to hit it. After a few hits, it will become unstable and charged up. At this point, the path line should show up on the screen. Kinetic Ore will go in the right direction based on how the player hits it.

For example, if players hit Kinetic Ore from the West, it will move to the East. In the same way, if they hit it at the bottom, it will go up in an arc. Last but not least, bullets and arrows can be used to start the charge sequence, but it would be a waste to do so.

    4) To move the distance, stand on top of Kinetic Ore.

Once Kinetic Ore is charged and ready to go, players should stop hitting it and stand on top as soon as possible. Remember not to stand on the edges because there is physics in Fortnite, and players can fall off.

For this challenge, players must move 1,900 meters over five stages. They go from 50 meters to 100 meters to 250 meters to 500 meters to 1,000 meters. Each stage will give you 16,000 experience points when you finish it.
