    Blood on my hands’ video

John Ondrasik, a songwriter and vocalist, has published a dark and disturbing “Blood On My Hands” video. In it, he combines news clips from throughout the world to condemn the United States government’s precipitous pullout from Afghanistan.

John Ondrasik released the song "Blood On My Hands."

John is a member of the Grammy-nominated band Five For Fighting. He originally released the song in September. At this time, President Joe Biden approved the evacuation of US and NATO troops from the nation, allowing the Taliban to quickly take over. On Monday, the singer uploaded the vivid video clip, which he refers to as a “docu-music video,” on Twitter. It also included information on the repercussions and fatality rate since the United States’ departure. The artist did not specify where he obtained the figures.

The scathing reprimand opens with Biden asserting that a pullout from Afghanistan will not enable the Taliban to reclaim the region before the pullout. The clip then transitions into a flood of headlines and historical images depicting the nation’s dire state under the Taliban.

It features harrowing footage of all those who died while attempting to flee the land. Those who were executed, assaulted, and tormented by the new authority in charge are also depicted. The clip concludes with Ondrasik interrogating former Afghanistan Vice President Amrullah Saleh about the US decision to support the Taliban to retake the country.

Ondrasik’s track contains lines that appear to be directly disparaging of the retreat strategy. He also criticizes officials such as the Secretary of State, the Secretary Of Defense, and, obviously, Vice President Biden. Despite his strong criticism of the 46th president’s government, the musician earlier stated in a media release announcing the song’s release that he didn’t mean for it to be politicized.
