Is Deku Smash in Fortnite turned off? Yes, the game developers have confirmed that this Mythic item has been taken out of the game. Epic Games hasn’t said why they’re making this choice.

Since the Deku Smash Mythic worked exactly as it was supposed to in-game, it’s not clear why it was vaulted after so many days. The community thinks the most likely reason for this is that the Mythic item is too powerful.

But since players have been able to fight back against opponents using the item, this can’t be the only reason. Deku Smash was the best thing about the My Hero Academia and Fortnite crossover. Without it, the work doesn’t seem very interesting.

When will Fortnite add the Deku Smash Mythic back in?

Since it’s unclear what the problem is, it makes no sense to figure out when the Mythic item will be back. Epic Games will try to fix the issue as soon as possible since the collaboration will end on December 29, 2022.

Players should also be ready for the worst thing that could happen. Deku Smash will never be added to the loot pool again.

But some players say that the item is still in the game, even though the developers said it was no longer usable.

The Deku Smash is said to be available in All Might Supply Drops and Vending Machines. It looks like Epic Games forgot to shut them down. Unfortunately, there’s no way to know for sure if the item still works the way it should in Fortnite. We hope that the problem will be fixed quickly.

Was the Deku Smash Mythic turned off because it was too powerful?

Even though this is a common assumption, it’s not likely to be why the item is disabled. It’s not exactly “broken” since players can avoid the attack.

Augments in Fortnite, like Aerialist and Soaring Sprints, can be used to avoid the attack. You can also use the Shockwave Hammer to prevent the attack. Also, since it takes time for Deku Smash to charge fully, players who use it can be beamed and knocked out or eliminated.

Because the Red-Eye Assault Rifle and DMR do so much damage, a few headshots will make the opponent’s Deku Smash useless. Still, not everyone has been able to fight back against the attack. Since it damages an area around it, even being on the edge of the blast radius can be very bad.

Also, if and when the Mythic Deku Smash is added back to the loot pool, its damage might be slightly lowered. Even though this is terrible news for die-hard fans, the rest of the Fortnite community should find it easier to deal with the Mythic.

Then again, if the item is nerfed, there will be no reason to have it in the game. During the battle, players would do better to keep pressing the fire button on the Snowball Launcher. It can be fired six times before it needs to be reloaded, which doesn’t take long.
