Goofy Gravestones were added to the island as part of the celebrations for Fortnitemares 2022. Instead of epitaphs that say who or what is buried in each grave, they have one-liners. Some of these epitaphs are pretty funny, given the game’s long history and the stories that have grown up around it.
Some people, not as much. But this will be different for each player. So, Epic Games is giving away 15,000 XP to anyone who can find and read the inscriptions on five Goofy Gravestones. Here’s how to do this creepy job.
How to read the epitaphs on the different Goofy Gravestones in Fortnite: a step-by-step guide
1) Look for funny graves
To finish this challenge, you must first find Goofy Gravestones. Players need to find and talk to five of them to complete the task. The good news is that there are 10 of them on the island. Here are all the locations of the Goofy Gravestones and a map to help you find them:
- Shiny Sound’s southeast corner
- The edge to the south of Chrome Crossroads
- Beach Bash is far to the southwest of Reality Tree.
- Away from Willow’s Haunt
- Research Lab’s Tilted Towers’ eastern edge Minotaur
- A long way from Tilted Towers (below The Flagship)
- Loot Lodge (landmass in the center of Loot Lake)
- Grim Gables Cemetery is on the eastern edge of Greasy Grove.
2) Interact with silly gravestones to read different epitaphs.
Once a Goofy Gravestone has been found, move up to it and interact with it to reposition the challenge along. Players don’t have to wait until they’ve read the epitaph for the task to be done. Just talking to them should be enough.
This can help you determine if the area is hostile or if there is a lot of gunfire. After pressing the interaction button, players can do what they need to do in the least amount of time and move to safety.
How to read five epitaphs on five different Goofy Gravestones as quickly as possible in Fortnite
Players can finish the task by going to any of the five out of ten Goofy Gravestones, but it will go faster if they plan. Here’s what you should do to finish the challenge quickly:
- Land at Shiny Sound and talk to the Goofy Gravestone in the Point of Interest.
- Find a vehicle and move to the graveyard near Grim Gables.
- Move towards Chrome Crossroads and talk to both Goofy Gravestones.
- When you get to the POI, talk to the Goofy Gravestone and turn towards the Research Lab. Minotaur.
- To finish the challenge, you must interact with the last Goofy Gravestone.
Even though this is the fastest way, you may be unable to use it depending on the Storm Circle and where your opponents are. Still, players shouldn’t have too much trouble completing the challenge in one match if they use a vehicle and a few Chrome Splashes.
Another option is to use balloons to turn since there are many of them along the route. Be sure to stock up on healing items and other things that help you move around to be safe. If a player can’t get to a vehicle or balloon, this will let them keep looking for Goofy Gravestones without being stopped.
