August 7, 2020, A 17-year-old girl killed in Pakistan while making a TikTok video with the gun. Farah Ali, from Kamalia city, district Toba Tek Singh, was famous on TikTok (lip-sync short video sharing app) with thirteen thousand followers and 364,000 likes on her TikTok videos.
The girl was making a TikTok video, while keeping the gun on her head, when gun fired accidentally, Kamalia city police said in an official statement.
Father of Farah Ali told that her younger sister was holding the camera when Farah was acting with the gun. After inflicted by the gunshot, she was rushed to the district hospital Toba Tek Singh but she died in the ambulance.
The Father has submitted a written application asking police to not register any case regarding his daughter’s death as it was an accident.
The craze of TikTok had already cost dozens of lives in Pakistan. Pakistan government is already considering to put a complete ban over TikTok due to similar incidents and rising vulgarity in the society. In this aspect, the government of Pakistan has issued a warning to TikTok earlier last month.
