Korryn Gaines Sh00ting video – Korryn Gaines chilling at Traffic Stop

    Published on

Korryn Gaines, 23, a resident of Baltimore, was shot and killed by a Baltimore police officer last week. Gaines, who had a run-in with police in March after being stopped for traffic offences, was tragically slain by police outside her home a few months later after threatening them with a legally acquired 12-gauge shotgun with a pistol handle.

A video of traffic stops that Gaines taped herself has now emerged. Shows the young mom disagreeing with cops while trying to calm her little child. It’s unclear whether or not this is the traffic stop that resulted in her being summoned to court, but her obvious dislike and distrust of law enforcement officers are evident.

    Korryn Gaines video – Explained

A video of traffic stops that Gaines taped herself has now emerged, showing the young mom disagreeing with cops while trying to calm her little child. It’s unclear whether or not this is the traffic stop that resulted in her being summoned to court, but her obvious dislike and distrust of law enforcement officers are evident.

It sounds like she’s telling her son that the police “are not for us” at several moments.

After the cops inform her that they must arrest her, Gaines answers with another terrifying moment from the film, “Today is the day they must put an end to my life.

For the record, I have never been and never will be a prisoner. You’re going to carry me out of here in a corpse bag.” After that, Gaines tries to console her obviously upset son by telling him, “What they do to us is plain to you, right? Combat is necessary.”

Two weeks before her death at the hands of police, Gaines is shown packing the shotgun she used to kill herself and two other people in a video.

Additionally, videos from the day of her passing, Monday, have been posted. While her Facebook and Instagram accounts were temporarily disabled at the request of local law enforcement during the standoff, they have since been restored and the videos posted to them.

When police arrived to arrest Gaines for those infractions, the altercation ensued. She refused to leave her property when police arrived, instead choosing to stand her ground and make threats at them. She records a video in which she debates with her small kid whether he would want to stay inside or play outside.

    Who is Korryn Gaines?

Korryn Gaines, who was only 23 years old and the mother of two small children, worked as a hairstylist. On August 1, 2016, officers from the Baltimore County Police Department went to Korryn’s residence to execute a warrant for a traffic infraction that had occurred in the past.

Social media played a strange role in the tragic death. As Gaines shared videos during her most recent confrontation with police outside of her apartment building. Followers encouraged her “Not to comply with negotiators’ requests that she surrender peacefully,” Baltimore police said.

She warned the cops, “If you don’t leave, I’m going to kill you.” Sadly, she’s the one who ended up being lethally shot and her death leaves her injured son without a mother.

Since Gaines’ death, social media has continued to play a role, arguing both sides of the incident.

While some are arguing that if Gaines had complied, and not raised her gun to police officers, she may still be alive.

    Korryn Gaines Sh00ting Incident

Korryn Gaines, a 23-year-old mother, was shot and killed on August 1, 2016, in Randallstown, Maryland, a suburb of Baltimore. Her son was also shot but survived. Baltimore County police said they tried to serve Gaines with a warrant for an earlier traffic offence.

She had resisted arrest and still refused to get out of her car or produce her licence. At that very moment, the first officer entered her house to serve the warrant. Gaines brandished a shotgun at him, and the officer promptly retreated. The SWAT team from Baltimore County was called and a standoff ensued. Gaines’s Facebook friends watched the live broadcast and encouraged her to keep going, which she did. A clip of her allegedly telling her son, “the police are coming to kill us,” has surfaced online. After she refused to open the door, the police obtained a key from the rental office but were unable to gain entry due to a chain lock. The door was then forcibly opened by an officer. According to the police, Gaines allegedly brandished a shotgun at an officer and ordered him to leave.

As a result of a police request, Facebook and Instagram were both deactivated for Gaines. Which has been criticized as the company’s involvement in the incident. A jury in 2018 found Royce Ruby’s first shot. Which killed Gaines, was not justified and violated the family’s civil rights. The jury awarded them $38 million in damages. In February of 2019, Judge Mickey Norman overturned the verdict. Ruling that Gaines posed a threat to Ruby and his crew since she was lifting a weapon when she was shot. Ruby’s actions were deemed “objectively reasonable” by Judge Norman. An appeals court upheld the $38 million award in July of 2020.
