JUST IN: Pope Francis calls for the debt of poor nations to be reduced or forgiven.

Pope Francis also calls for lifting of sanctions, debt forgiveness, global ceasefire in his Easter message ‘Urbi Et Orbi’. He Specially mentioned to Libya, Yemen, Palestine, Venezuela, Asia and Africa.

He called for lifting international sanctions so nations can respond to the global pandemic of Coronavirus and he again calls for a reduction or forgiveness of the foreign debt of the world’s poorest nations. Watch the full Easter message of Pope Francis in the video, below.

Earlier last month, Prime minister Imran Khan of Pakistan has made a similar call demanding rich countries to reduce foreign debts of poor countries so poor countries could be able to fight against Coronavirus and the hunger caused by pandemic.
