After the Fortnite Winterfest 2022 update v23.10, snowball launchers are back. The gun in question shoots a projectile that moves slowly. It doesn’t lose power over time, making it great for long-range combat. Since the damage is area-of-effect, it is useful when fighting a group of enemies.
Still, you’ll have to look around a bit in the game to find the weapon. Even though it’s back in the loot pool, your chances of getting one are still not very good. Still, it won’t be impossible to find one or two of them with a little luck.
Snowball launchers can be found in Chapter 4 of Season 1 of Fortnite.
In Fortnite, there is more than one way to find the Snowball Launcher. But only one of them can’t be wrong. The rest are, for the most part, hit or miss. Here are the items:

Rare chests drop from the floor. You can buy them from NPC Scrapknight Jules.
1) Boxes and Rare Boxes
You can find chests all over the island. They can sometimes be found in the strangest places, like in caves or inside an igloo. In Fortnite, they are usually found in groups near POIs and landmarks.
Since they have basic loot, it’s not a given that this is a high-level Snowball Launcher. Any weapon will do damage, but the goal is to find an Epic or Legendary one.
Keeping this in mind, the best thing to do is find Rare Chests, which aren’t easy to find as their name suggests. Most of the time, players won’t find a single one during a match.
Even if one is found, there is no guarantee that it will have a Snowball Launcher. Still, they do drop high-level loot, so it’s one of the best ways to get the weapon in the game.
2) Floor Loot
If players are lucky, they might find a Legendary Snowball Launcher lying on the ground. Now that Fortnite Winterfest 2022 is going on, the chance of finding a Snowball Launcher in Floor Loot will increase for December. But this is a very small chance.
The Rare and Uncommon versions of the weapon will probably lie on the ground. They can be used by players who aren’t too picky until something better comes.
3) Supply Drops, Gifts, and Scrapknight Jules as an NPC
You can improve your chances of discovering a Snowball Launcher by searching Supply Drops and Gifts. The first ones will be hard to get because other players will rush toward them, but the second ones can be found all over the map.
However, finding a Snowball Launcher in either one of these items depends on luck. So far, Presents is the best of the two to find the weapon. No matter how they get there, players will find a high-level snowball launcher (Epic or Legendary).
If you don’t want to look for Presents or Supply Drops, you can buy a Snowball Launcher from NPC Scrapknight Jules. She can be found in Faulty Splits and will sell the weapon for 600 gold bars.
