The incident, which sent tremors across the global online community, took a turn for the worse when, after the macabre act, he continued his murderous spree, taking two more lives.

The 35-year-old Nermin Sulejmanovic filmed at least three videos documenting the violent spree in the northeastern town of Gradacac.

The Terrifying Morning of Live Horror

The video, which we will not publish because of the brutality of the content, first shows his wife, with obvious serious injuries on her body and face, sitting on a bench on the porch.

According to a local newspaper “telegraf” the dark event began on a seemingly regular Friday morning when Sulejmanovic, who hailed from the northeastern town of Gradacac, uploaded a video on his Instagram account with a sinister announcement. He chillingly warned his followers that they were about to witness a real-time execution.

As he panned the camera to his ex-wife, the image that met the viewers was utterly horrifying. Her face was marred with injuries, bloodied and grotesque, painting a grim picture of the horror she had endured.

Addressing his viewers, gun in hand, Sulejmanovic chillingly remarked, “Hey guys, you’re going to see something you’ve never seen before – a live murder. It’s a massacre.” As if the situation wasn’t heart-wrenching enough, the faint cries of a child echoed in the background, amplifying the grim atmosphere.

The Instagram video, which was later taken down, had been viewed by a staggering 12,000 individuals, who watched in horror as the act unfurled. Post the killing, he chillingly pointed the camera towards the weeping child and declared, “Someone come and save the child. Moving on.”

Although, thevideo has been deleted from Instagram, several people have shared the video on Twitter and it can be viewed in this Twitter post.

    The Dark Past of Sulejmanovic

While the act itself was nightmarish, a delve into Sulejmanovic’s history paints a picture of a man with a tumultuous past. Known in Gradacac as a bodybuilder and fitness coach, he wasn’t a stranger to the law. His past was marked by arrests related to drug smuggling, and even an assault on a police officer.

After the murder broadcast, Sulejmanovic’s actions took an even darker turn. He briefly moved to a car, only to double back to the house. Upon his return, he stepped into the car and sped off, the video ending shortly after.

Legal Repercussions and the Consequences of Social Media

Bosnian law enforcement authorities have been vocal about the event and its aftermath. They highlighted the role of social media in propagating such violent content and the consequences of supporting such heinous acts online. Authorities have revealed that individuals who sent supportive messages during Sulejmanovic’s Instagram live video would be interrogated and might even face legal consequences.

The incident shines a spotlight on the dark side of social media, where platforms can inadvertently become stages for broadcasting malevolent intentions and acts. As the world grapples with the horror of the events of that fateful Friday, questions are raised about the responsibility and role of platforms like Instagram.

    A Global Outcry

The world remains in shock following the events in Gradacac. The incident not only underlines the vulnerabilities of social media platforms but also raises concerns about the mental well-being of individuals and the extreme steps they might take when left unchecked. As the Bosnian community mourns the loss of innocent lives, it also serves as a grim reminder of the age we live in, where the intersection of personal angst and technology can lead to unimaginable consequences.

The Sulejmanovic case is one that will long be remembered, not just for the cold-blooded nature of the crimes but also for the manner in which it was broadcasted to the world. In an age where everything is online, it’s a haunting reminder of the need for vigilance, empathy, and action.
