The sisters are much too young and inexperienced to help. And if the cubs accidentally alert the herd, the hunt will fail. They stay back and watch. The best approach is from downwind. Staying hidden among the trees for as long as possible.
Kali can reach 60 miles an hour in under three seconds. She’s almost at full speed before the wildebeest even spots her. A well-aimed hoof or horn could easily kill her.
