Dance at Lit Campfire in night – In Fortnitemares 2022, some POIs on the island have been given very dark ambient lighting. Everything goes dark when a player enters some POIs, like the Reality Tree or the Knowby Cabin. This is a bit strange since people not in the immediate area of the POI can see things as clearly as day.
Even so, there are still places where it can get dark and scary. Campfires come into play at this point and can be very helpful. Epic Games wants players to dance around a campfire at night to earn 15,000 XP because of this. Here’s how to get the job done fast and light up the night sky.

A step-by-step guide to where to dance at a lit campfire at night in Fortnite
1) Load into a game and mark Looper Landing on the minimap.
Since this challenge has nothing to do with fighting, it should be easy to finish. The goal is simple: find a campfire, wait until night, light it, and do an emote. Players need to mark a place on the minimap called Looper Landing to get started.
Those who have been playing since the beginning of Chapter 3 know exactly where on the map to find this well-known place. This place is at the eastern edge of the map, near where an airship crashed. To make it easier to find, it is the island behind Launchpad. The runway platform that floats above it makes it hard to miss.
2) Land at the point of interest and wait until dark.
Once you’ve marked the POI, you should wait for the match to start and then plan your jump. Depending on the Battle Bus route, it could take a while to get to this small island. Still, because it is so far away, there is almost no chance that an enemy will come here.
This makes it the perfect place to wait without worrying about getting attacked by other players. Once on the ground, look for treasure on the nearby islands while it’s still light out.
3) Light the campfire and express your feelings in front of it.
When it gets dark, and visibility starts to get worse, it’s time to go back to the campfire and start it up. In the Zero Build mode, players can only light it once within a certain amount of time. Also, make sure you don’t light it until it’s dark.
Normal mode players don’t have to worry about this because they can use wood to start the campfire again. Once it’s lit, you can emote near it to finish the challenge. Considering how the game is set up, any emote should work.
Things to think about if you try this challenge
Even though Looper Landing is the best place to do this challenge without any trouble, players may have to rotate inward depending on where Storm Circles form. So, here are a few more safe places where the challenge can be done around a campfire:
- Sunken Suburbs
- Floaties Boats
- The Destroyed
- Drill Hill
- The Last Legs
When you play in Zero Build mode, don’t use the campfire before you start. Also, the best way to finish this challenge quickly is to stay out of sight while waiting for nightfall.
