FORTNITE IS BACK ON IOS WITH SOME EXCITEMENT:

Fortnite has not been played on an Apple device in a long time. In August 2020, the game was no longer available on the App Store.

There has since been a long, drawn-out legal battle over the game and Apple’s in-game purchasing practices. Even though Apple prevailed in court on all but one count, the fight is far from over.

Fortnite is still unavailable on the App Store, and no date has been set for its re-release. With a little tweaking, iOS users can now play the game on their devices.

Mobile Fortnite players without access to a currently supported device will have an alternative with Xbox Cloud Gaming, which is currently in beta testing.

FORTNITE iOS RETURN.

Fortnite can be played on iOS devices using Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Following its removal from App Store, users have been looking for any way they can get the game back on their devices. As a potential alternative, NVIDIA Geforce was mentioned, but it was not widely accepted.

That said, this latest method appears to be the most effective yet. Microsoft’s attempt to expand Xbox gaming beyond the Xbox is called Xbox Cloud Gaming.

This service offers a wide variety of games, including NBA 2K22, Sea of Thieves, Star Wars Battlefront II, and Minecraft Dungeons. Free-to-play Fortnite will be the first game on the service.

As a website, this service can be accessed on any device. All of the above games can now be considered “mobile,” even if they don’t have a mobile app.

Apple devices are included in this, despite the fact that they have a dislike for Epic Games (which goes both ways). As long as Apple’s policy is followed, access to the app is still difficult.

A looper can only use Xbox Cloud Gaming through Safari on iOS because of the current store policy, which does not allow for an app download. This can be somewhat mitigated, however.

Users of Safari can create shortcuts to any website on their home screens. Using Xbox Cloud Gaming, they can go to the Fortnite page and create a shortcut to it.

It isn’t a great or even an easy option to use. The game is likely to be unplayable on older, slower devices. Even so, it’s the best option right now for a segment of the gaming population that hasn’t played the game in a long time.
