Former Indian minister for external affairs Sushma Swaraj died at 67 last night. The reason of the death was mentioned as heart attack. According to Indian Media, the 67-year-old Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s leader Sushma Swaraj was hospitalised yesterday evening after getting an heart attack. She was admitted in ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES ( AIIMS), New Dehli between 9:30 Pm to 10 PM ( India Time ) on Tuesday.
She was taken to the emergency without wasting a moment but she died after few mo ments in hospital. Sushma Swaraj was suffering from chronic diabetes and was admitted in AIIMS because of kidney failure in 2016 also.
Sushma Swaraj was elected as minister for external affairs of India in 2014. But she didn’t participated in India’s Lok Sabha Elections (General elections) 2019. Swaraj was in office as union minister between 1977 until 1980 during the Janata Party government. She was also in office as minister for information and broadcasting between 2000-2003. From 2009 to 2014 Sushma Swaraj served as Chief Minister of New Delhi and was opposition leader in Lok Sabha.
Just 2 hours before the heart attack, she tweeted on her official Twitter account. In the tweet she was showing gratitude to Indian prime minister Narendra Modi on Abolishing Article 35A and Article 370 from Kashmir.
