Apple iOS 16 and iPadOS 16

Apple WWDC will be held in a few days, and reports regarding the new features that operating systems like iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 will bring are already circulating. Some of these rumors stand out in particular.

Indeed, there has even been speculation about a particularly striking version of these platforms for Apple’s smartphones and tablets. These are highly requested and will definitely result in a significant impact for iPhone and iPad owners.

The information was disclosed by Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg analyst who releases the latest data from the Cupertino company’s strategy every week.

Gurman is already well-known for his ability to “predict” the future of Apple products and services, and this time he talked about the new features coming in iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, including:

*iOS 16 ‘Always on’ screen: For years, various Android-based mobile phones have had “always-on” screens that display the time, battery level, and even icons indicating that we have received notifications or messages from WhatsApp, even if they are blocked.

The feature, which has been featured on Apple Watches for some time, will eventually make its way to iPhones, but not all of them: according to Gurman, it will be an exclusive feature of the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max due to the potential presence of LPTO screens.

According to fresh information, iPads will include a feature that will increase the multitasking capabilities of these devices: a system setting that will allow users to resize windows for free.

*Messages that are more “social.” The iOS/iPadOS messaging app would have improved audio communications, as well as certain social network-like features, though no information on such features is provided.

Data previously revealed in recent weeks has been added to these novelties:

*Interactive widgets: With these new widgets, you’ll be able to control music, home automation devices, and other products and services without having to launch their respective apps.

*Notification system: with yet-to-be-discovered features but theoretically an interactive upgrade over the current one.

*Classical music: Apple Music’s Apple Classical Classical music service is believed to be the first.

Gurman mentioned “fresh applications” a while back, alluding to new native apps that help users optimise the performance of their devices. More privacy: Encryption using iCloud Private Relay could become normal for all users.

The WWDC 2022 inaugural conference will take place next Monday, June 6, at 7:00 p.m. CEST, and we will be paying close attention to everything that is presented.
