Minneapolis police have released body camera footage from a no-knock warrant earlier this week that resulted in the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old Black man, a case that has increased tensions in the city and intensified focus on local law enforcement. Watch Bodycam video footage, below.

Video: Bodycam video footage of Amir Locke police shooting

According to the police, Amir Locke was fatally shot by a Minneapolis Authorities Department SWAT team member. The warrant was carrying out at 6:48 a.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Marquette Ave South.

Minneapolis Police Department Interim Chief Amelia Huffman said in a news conference Thursday. “Mr. Locke was not named in the original search warrant and so at this point it is unclear if or how he is connected to St. Paul’s investigation,” Minneapolis Police Department Interim Chief Amelia Huffman said in a news conference Thursday.

According to authorities, the warrant was issued in connection with a homicide investigation in St. Paul, Minnesota.
